Kelly Clarkson reportedly downed a bottle of liquor with Ryan Key, the singer of the band Yellowcard, at the Metal Skool concert at the Key Club before jumping up on stage where she ended up tearing off her vest and throwing it into the crowd.

US Summer Tour in Store for Kelly Clarkson Fans

Kelly Clarkson will hit the road this summer on her Addicted tour. Tickets for the trek, named after a track from "Breakaway," go on sale April 22. Kelly had frequent health issues during her European tour, hopefully a summer tour will be less taxing on her body.

I think the contestants should all choose the song 'Bitch' and dedicate it to Simon Cowell and then I think all the viewers should just not vote.

As a rule, winning American Idol hasn't guaranteed anyone a successful career in music. It's a popularity contest. It's a big expensive version of being named king or queen of the prom. That's not the best analogy, for it to be accurate you'd have to sign a lifelong contract with your highschool prom organizers.

Anyway, people like Ruben Studdard and Anastasia and Clay Aiken have not had their success on the show translate into selling albums and selling concert tickets.

Kelly Clarkson is the exception. She keeps getting more popular and ,more importantly, she is getting better at whay she does. She's a huge concert draw and her album spent over a year on the charts.

Many posts ago, I mentioned Kelly Clarkson turning down an invitation to appear on the Australian Version of Idol. That got me wondering about her contract with Idol producers. Has some parts of the contract run out?

I had to go WAY back to 2002 to find any good info. Salon finds out what they can about the contract that Idol contestants sign. The legalese is amazing in some of the contract clauses. A big thing is the $5 million dollars that the contestants are liable for if they give out behind the scenes info about Idol. It's no wonder you don't hear also rans belly-aching about the show.
